Bloomcare is recruiting a Deputy Manager to join Laburnum House, our Good-rated CQC residential care home in Oldham. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced care professional with a passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care and supporting colleagues to provide outstanding outcomes for residents.
Working closely with the General Manager, you'll help lead the day-to-day running of the home, support regulatory compliance, develop your team and maintain the highest standards of care. Key Responsibilities
Support the day-to-day management of a residential care home.
Lead, motivate and develop care colleagues.
Ensure safe, high-quality, person-centred care is delivered at all times.
Maintain compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding and regulatory requirements.
Review care plans, risk assessments and medication processes.
Carry out quality audits and implement continuous improvements.
Support recruitment, induction, supervision and staff development.
Manage staffing levels and rotas to ensure safe, effective care.
Build positive relationships with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals.
Support the General Manager in achieving excellent inspection outcomes and operational performance.
About You
You'll ideally have:
Previous experience as a Deputy Manager, Team Leader or Senior Care professional within a residential or nursing care setting.
At least 3 years' supervisory or management experience.
NVQ Level 3 (or above) in Health & Social Care.
A good understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding and person-centred care.
Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
A positive, hands-on approach with a genuine passion for supporting older people.
An Enhanced DBS check will be required.
