Hours: Full-Time and Bank | 8:00am – 8:00pm
Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour
Lighthouse Care is seeking experienced and compassionate Mental Health Support Workers to join our dedicated Days Team. We are looking for candidates who wish to join on Full time and Bank Contracts.
We provide specialist residential support for adults living with enduring and complex mental health needs, often alongside alcohol and substance misuse challenges. Our service is focused on promoting recovery, independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes for every individual we support.
This role is ideally suited to candidates with previous experience supporting adults with complex mental health needs, dual diagnosis, challenging behaviours, and risk management. We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants who are available to start immediately or within a short notice period.
About the Role
As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting residents throughout the day, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and continued progress towards their individual goals.
You will build positive and therapeutic relationships with residents, provide person-centred support, maintain accurate records, and respond professionally to situations that may arise during your shift.
Essential Requirements
Minimum 2 years' experience supporting adults with complex mental health needs and/or substance misuse.
Experience working with dual diagnosis.
Ability to support individuals who may present behaviours that challenge.
Understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries, and recovery-focused support.
Strong communication and record-keeping skills.
Ability to remain calm, resilient, and professional in challenging situations.
A caring, empathetic, and person-centred approach.
Desirable Experience
Supported living, residential care, rehabilitation, forensic, or mental health services.
Experience supporting individuals with personality disorders, psychosis, trauma, self-harm, emotional dysregulation, or substance misuse.
Relevant Health & Social Care qualification.
